To our valued SPA families,
We are excited to introduce a new event we are holding for the benefit of all registered SPA baseball families and those interested in joining SPA Baseball. As an organization, serving our community and the families that have partnered with us over the years is a core value. To continue that mission, we are hosting our Inaugural Baseball Gear Exchange on February 25th from 2-4pm at the Schnecksville Fire Company Pavilion. It's become so expensive to purchase new gear each season and as an organization, we can all help each other reduce that cost. The event itself will offer donated baseball gear (bats, gloves and cleats) that are in good working order and of high quality to our families at absolutely no cost. Our board members and long time coaches will be on site to help give some advice on sizing and fit. If you have a child in the organization and are in need of gear to help them get on the field in the spring, please feel free and empowered to come see us on Feb 25.
There is also an ask of all of our baseball families in the organization. We humbly request of you that you consider donating your used baseball gear (bats, gloves and cleats) for the benefit of another family that could put it to use this spring. Kids grow out of bats and gloves nearly every season. It's become really expensive to fit your child for each new season with the right sized gear. If you're anything like us, you may have a bin of all the bats and gloves they've used over the years. Please consider donating these to us so that we may in turn pass them along to other families who could use them this season. We will host two collection days at the Fire Company Pavilion. The first is Feb 13th from 6-7pm and the next is Feb 18th from 3-4pm. Please stop by and drop off the gear you don't think you'll have use for. If those dates don't work, please email us and we can arrange a private pickup as well. The primary contact for that will be Tom Bradshaw at thomas.j.bradshaw@gmail.com.
In summary, SPA is committed to making it as easy as possible to play baseball with us and serve our families at the same time. Please consider donating your baseball gear that you don't have a use for and then joining us on Feb 25 if you need some high quality gear for your child this spring.
Please note:
1. Baseball Registration closes on 2/15, It can be extend it until 2/22 for last minute signs ups if divisions are not full.
2. The Fire Co. Pavilion is the building directly behind the baseball field.
3. We are not accepting Catchers gear and Catchers helmets.
